According to Jane Kallir, this drawing was rejected on moral grounds by the Munich Secession, one of the Secession movements, on December 3, 1913. It would not be exhibited.
Although no detailed information is available, the couple depicted appears to be Egon Schiele and Wally Neuzil.
Here, also unusual, Schiele titled this drawing. Most titles were given after Egon Schiele’s death in 1918.
